Badger Care/Medical Assistance

BadgerCare is a Wisconsin state program to provide health insurance for uninsured working families.  By insuring both children and their parents, BadgerCare makes it easier for parents to create a happy and healthy family life. To be eligible, you must:

  • Have children under age 19 living with you
  • Have income within the guideline limits
  • Not be covered by health insurance

Medicaid is a joint federal/state program established in 1965 under Title XIX of the Social Security Act to pay for medical services for people with disabilities, people 65 years and older, children and their caretaker, and pregnant women who meet the program`s financial requirements.
